Pristine Privacy Consulting Pte. Ltd was founded by a team of privacy professionals with extensive experience in data privacy and legal compliance. At Pristine Privacy, we understand the challenges our clients face navigating the complexities of modern data protection laws and regulations. To that, we offer a wide range of bespoke services to help our clients sail through these requirements and meet their data privacy needs. We work closely with our clients to provide customized solutions that not only fit their unique needs, but also comply with legal regulations, and help protect their customers’ trust and confidence.

Roy Ng

Founder and Principal Consultant

Roy is a dedicated and experienced data protection and privacy professional who brings a deep understanding of global privacy laws, and industry best practices, especially in Asia, to his role as the Principal Consultant. Roy founded Pristine Privacy in 2023.

Prior to founding Pristine Privacy, Roy served as the Data Protection Officer of the NYSE listed ICICI Bank Ltd in Singapore. In his tenure, Roy built and implemented the Data Protection and Privacy Management Program ground up, these includes policies, procedures, data inventory mapping, risk assessment and management, IT systems review, training, incident and breach response, commercial / go-to-market activities, engagements with Data Protection authorities, as well as governance, risk and compliance.

Thereafter, Roy embarked on an advisory career as a Data Protection and Privacy Consultant providing advisory work to a range of clients (ranging from retail, education, healthcare, and tech) across the Asia Pacific and the Middle East for compliance to laws in the respective countries. These includes, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, China, Hong Kong SAR, South Korea, Japan, Oman, and Dubai.

Roy is also a Senior Privacy Consultant with TrustArc, Subject Matter Expert with Heward Mills, Data Protection Consultant with JonDavidson Consulting, and a Training and Adult Educator with the SMU Academy.

Roy holds a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) recognition from the IAPP as well as CIPM and CIPP/E. In addition, he holds a BBM from the Singapore Management University and a MSc in International Relations from the Nanyang Technological University.

Andrew Cheung

LLM, CIPM, CIPP/E, FIP, CISSP

External Associate Advisor

With over two decades of expertise in privacy, audit, and compliance, Andrew brings invaluable experience to the Pristine Privacy Team.

As an External Associate Advisor, he leverages his extensive knowledge as an expert in the GDPR, and deep understanding of global privacy laws and industry best practices, to provide guidance to Pristine Privacy on data protection and privacy best practices.

Before joining Pristine Privacy, Andrew honed his skills by supporting over 50 schools across four continents, with a strong focus on international institutions. His expertise extends beyond specific sectors, making him a versatile and valuable asset to the team.

Andrew holds a Law degree from the University of London specialising in corporate and commercial law, further complemented by professional certifications in information security management. This unique blend of legal background and technical knowledge strengthens his ability to address even the most intricate data protection and privacy challenges.
